As I reflect on my business this past year, I keep coming back to gratitude.

My business this year came from people already in my sphere, repeat clients, or those referred to me by people who shared my name. I’m deeply aware of what that represents. The trust people place in me, often during big life transitions, is not lost on me. I’m endlessly grateful.

I had the honor of walking alongside first-time buyers, move-up buyers, those right-sizing or downsizing, and those navigating unexpected life changes. Each home holds stories, memories, and chapters of life, and being invited into those moments is truly an honor.

I’m also grateful to my family, friends, those who share my name in rooms I’m not in, and colleagues who make it possible for me to show up for my clients in such a meaningful way.

I’ve shown so many homes, and after a while, you notice patterns. Certain things catch buyers’ eyes immediately, and some can even turn them off.

As a listing agent, I use what I see on the buyer side to help sellers get ahead of any of these things before their home even hits the market. Small updates can make a huge difference in how buyers see value—and fall in love.

While these aren’t the only things I have Sellers do, these are the updates I talk about at every listing appointment. They are simple but powerful: fresh, neutral paint, a deep clean that catches all the little details, and lighting that’s warm, welcoming, and consistent throughout the home. Little changes like these make a house feel cared for and instantly move-in ready.

✨ Then & Now ✨

When we bought our early ’90s home, this fireplace was dark and dated.

With a little creativity (and my talented brother’s help!), we added thicker shelves, crown, new cabinet doors, and a fresh mantle. A coat of enamel paint and a quick update to the brass made it feel completely new.

Now it’s bright, cozy, and one of my favorite spots to decorate for the holidays. Proof that your “not-yet dream home” can become the home you love most. 💫

A few lessons that continue to guide me — in business and in life.

1️⃣ Lead with “How can I help?”

Start by being useful and creating value before anyone even asks for it. When you lead with service, everything else tends to fall into place.

2️⃣ Fill your gaps with partners.

The best partnerships are built on complementary strengths. I’m so grateful for the incredible lender, title, and industry partners who make what I do possible — and better.

3️⃣ Fail forward, quickly.

Every mishap is just data. Collect it, learn from it, and keep moving. Progress isn’t about perfection — it’s about momentum.

4️⃣ Expect roadblocks.

Momentum isn’t linear. There will be seasons that stretch you, slow you down, or make you question everything. What matters most is continuing to show up.

5️⃣ Don’t take yourself too seriously.

Find joy in the process. This one comes naturally because I genuinely love what I do — but when it comes to showing up online, I can definitely overthink it. Imposter syndrome is real, and this reminder keeps me grounded.
