DO NOT REPAIR!
The Village of Blanchardville has stopped all repair work on the old Chandler Building!?! After we've replaced the roof and the windows, repaired the plumbing, replaced the front balcony, rebuilt the stairwell and insulated the building under the building permit issued by the village in 2021, the village now requests that all work stop.

Before doing any further repairs, the village demands that we pay for "a structural analysis," pay for "an egress study," pay for "a review of fire separation continuity," pay for architectural plans, pay for engineering plans, and then, after paying their fees, wait indefinitely for plan review by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.

In other words, don't do anything let it rot as it has for the past 30 years.

This unit's condition after the tenants vacated recalls a certain Mr. Grinch - "Your soul is an appalling dung heap overflowing with the most disgraceful assortment of rubbish imaginable ... mangled up in tangled up knots!"

These tenants stiffed us on the final month's rent, actually ripped up and took flooring, and then left the unit in this condition. Of course we'll be pursuing civil damages and possibly criminal charges, but we know we can't fix nasty.

James Graham is leaving Pec Investments LLC. The remaining Pec partners are continuing in their efforts to renovate and revitalize "the Chandler Building" (306 S Main) and "the Kiel Buildings" 320-324 S Main.

We are all proud of what we have accomplished including finishing and leasing up 302 S Main, renovating and leasing up 304 S Main, and repairing (new roof and insulation) 306 S Main. We expect to continue cooperating toward our mutual interest in bringing new life to old Blanchardville.

Do you have any old photos showing "The Chandler Building" at 306 S Main St in Blanchardville? Please let us know. Pec Investments has begun renovating this old diamond-in-the-rough (rough, rough).
