November 11th is a historically significant date that commemorates the end of WWI. On this day in 1918, at 11:00 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month, the fighting between the Allied forces and Germany ceased. Since then, our country has chosen this day to celebrate the brave men and women of our armed forces.

We hope you can take some time today to honor the veterans in your life. Engage in a conversation, lend a sympathetic ear, listen respectfully and ask compassionate questions about their service. Consider supporting those who have served our country by personally thanking them, volunteering at a VA hospital or making a donation to a charity that aids veterans. Demonstrate your patriotism at a local parade, fly the flag proudly at your home, or take a veteran you know to one of our country’s National Parks — admission is free for all visitors on Veterans Day!

However you choose to commemorate this special holiday, we wish you and your family a very happy Veterans Day.

Goodbye to the long days and hello to a new season of business!

Seasons may change...but my dedication to you never does! Here are a few reminders as we welcome fall:

Change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
Replace Carbon Monoxide alarms every five years.
Check and discard expired medications - those dates really do have a meaning - some common over-the-counter medications can cause serious problems when expired.
Check home and outbuilding storage areas for hazardous materials.
Discard (properly) any which are outdated, no longer used, or in poor condition. Move any which are within reach of kids or pets.

And remember, even though we are "losing" an hour, I'm never too busy for your referrals!

Regardless of whether you’re buying or selling a home, you should never skip the home inspection. A home inspection is designed to identify any issues with the property that the seller may not have knowledge of. The inspector is looking for any issues with plumbing, electrical wiring, heating and air. Here are some of the other top reasons for getting an inspection sooner rather than later:

*Get peace of mind - Even if the home is brand new, it’s good to know that every aspect of your home is built correctly. If your home has been around for a while, then knowing the condition may help you avoid falling into a money pit.
*Knowing any issues about the home upfront may help negotiate with the seller.
*Find unseen issues. Even if the seller discloses every issue to their knowledge, an inspection can uncover issues that aren’t obvious to the eye.

Talk about an awesome home for a staycation! This one really has it all - in-ground pool, hot tub, built-in grill, home theater, beautiful custom bar.... all on a golf course!
