"Better than honor and glory, and History's iron pen, Was the thought of duty done and the love of his fellow-men." -- Richard Watson Gilder
Thank you to all the men and women who have served this country. We honor you, your service, & your sacrifice. Thank you for keeping America Free. Happy Veteran's Day! 🇺🇸
November 11th is a historically significant date that commemorates the end of WWI. On this day in 1918, at 11:00 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month, the fighting between the Allied forces and Germany ceased. Since then, our country has chosen this day to celebrate the brave men and women of our armed forces.
We hope you can take some time today to honor the veterans in your life. Engage in a conversation, lend a sympathetic ear, listen respectfully and ask compassionate questions about their service. Consider supporting those who have served our country by personally thanking them, volunteering at a VA hospital or making a donation to a charity that aids veterans. Demonstrate your patriotism at a local parade, fly the flag proudly at your home, or take a veteran you know to one of our country’s National Parks — admission is free for all visitors on Veterans Day!
However you choose to commemorate this special holiday, we wish you and your family a very happy Veterans Day.
