Did you know?
St. Patrick wasn’t actually Irish. He was born in Britain in the late 4th century and was kidnapped by Irish raiders as a teenager. After escaping and returning home, he later chose to go back to Ireland as a missionary.

Legend says he used the three-leaf clover (shamrock) to explain the concept of the Trinity, which is why the shamrock is now a symbol of St. Patrick’s Day. 🍀

Another fun myth: St. Patrick is said to have driven all the snakes out of Ireland—though historians believe Ireland never had snakes to begin with!

Today the holiday celebrates Irish culture, community, and a little bit of luck.
