It’s almost here! Sign up to Sleep Out, help us work on this awesome art project, get an exclusive Tshirt designed by Bad Knees and raise money to keep our shelter doors open. We hope to see you there!

Another new addition to look forward to at this year's Solidarity Sleepout is the opportunity to create a piece of art with friends, for Friend's! Bloomington Fine Art Supply has thoughtfully created and generously donated this design as well as art supplies to collectively create an art piece at the central Sleepout location that will ultimately be installed at Friend's Place for all guests to enjoy! The design will be translated onto a large sheet of paper giving Sleepout participants the opportunity to collaborate in filling it with color! Who's looking forward to working on this together!? 🌈🖌⛺️

🧟‍♀️Costume Contest Information and Rules🧟‍♀️:
- Free to enter!
- To participate, you MUST register before the event. (The last day to enter the contest is 10/25) We encourage entering early to allow time to share with your friends and family to generate the most “votes”.
- “Votes” are donations made to your costume contest campaign
- “Votes” can be collected before and at the event
- Winners are determined by whoever raises the highest dollar amounts.
🧟‍♂️How to Participate🧟‍♂️:
- Go to givebutter.com/costumecontest2023
- Begin registration with “Enter Contest” button.
- Fill out contact info and password and a photo of you in your costume (if possible).
- Enter a personal fundraising goal.
- Share the story of your costume.
- Once registered, you will have your own unique link assigned to your costume contest campaign. We encourage sharing this along with a photo of your costume with friends and family via text or social media to receive “votes” before the event.
- At the event, upon check in, you will receive a QR code for event attendees to scan to donate to your costume contest campaign. You’ll have until 8:00pm to collect as many “votes” as possible. Winners will be announced in the last hour of the event and will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes including gift cards to local hot spots, Beacon merch, and more!

We need your help with dinner for our 40 guests on Sundays!!!

The amazing family that was providing them each week has moved out of town and we would really appreciate having replacements. We're looking for a person, family, community group, organization, anyone that would like to feed some folks- we're flexible so you could take on every weekend or schedule specific dates.

Beacon will be at Pride this Saturday from 2-8pm on East Kirkwood Ave in downtown Bloomington! Come visit our booth for free stickers, pins, and jewelry making. You can also buy some Beacon t-shirts!
