ShelterBox USA will be supporting Rotary International Zones 33 and 34 (Southeast USA) to help meet the immediate needs of communities devastated by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. ShelterBox USA committed an initial match grant of $100,000 to the Rotary Zone 33 and 34 Disaster Recovery Fund to help communities affected from the Carolinas to Florida confronting the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. To take advantage of this match you can donate through the disaster relief page on the Zones 33-34 website https://www.rizones33-34.org/disaster-relief and put “ShelterBox Match” in the Transaction Description.

In addition to the grant, ShelterBox USA is supplying 200 ShelterBox bags, 600 solar lights and 600 solar battery power banks to affected families. These resources will help ensure they have a reliable source of light and the ability to stay connected during this critical time. This collaboration between SBUSA and Rotary Zones 33/34 exemplifies the power of the partnership between ShelterBox and Rotary in delivering vital support to those in need.

I’m putting out the call to all my central Illinois peeps. We’re heading to South Carolina on the 25th of October with supplies for North Carolina and Tennessee. I have a 30’ trailer and would love to fill it! They are in need of winter clothes, from infant to XXL sizes, shoes, socks, hats, gloves, sheets, blankets, sleeping bags and so much more. Help me fill the trailer!! If you want to purchase bulk hats or gloves from Amazon, reach out and I’ll give you the address in South Carolina to send it to so I don’t have to transport it. We live 2 hours south of Asheville and will deliver it to the mule train or helicopters making the drops so it gets into the right hands of those in need. Please help us fill the trailer! It doesn’t have to be new. Just in good shape. Don’t bring me your garbage! Think of it as your family….remember, “but by the grace of God…..” let’s help our fellow Americans! God bless you all.
