Join the Conversation! 📣Come learn about the exciting 'Transforming Neighborhoods' Program that Bloomington, IL was awarded thanks to the National Association of REALTORS®, the Mid-Illinois REALTORS® Association and the City of Bloomington.

When: 4:30am - 6:00pm | Monday, Aug. 3 | Miller Park Splash Zone.

What: A Neighborhood conversation about the project with The City of Bloomington, in partnership with MIRA. The City is especially interested in hearing from residents of the Gridley, Allin, Prickett, Near East, and Dimmitt's Grove neighborhoods, but everyone is welcome.

When: 9:00am - 11:00am | Friday, August 7 | Bloomington Public Library

What: An update on the comprehensive strategy to revitalize an area impacted by vacant properties, declining housing stock, and disinvestment on Bloomington’s west side. This presentation is the culmination of work done by The CRE® since the Mid-Illinois REALTORS® Association (MIRA) and Illinois REALTORS®, working in collaboration with the City of Bloomington, was awarded this opportunity through the National Association of REALTORS®’ Transforming Neighborhoods Program.

Bloomington is one of only four projects the CRE® will conduct nationwide through the National Association of REALTORS®’ Transforming Neighborhoods Program in 2026.

About the Transforming Neighborhoods Program - The National Association of REALTORS® offers the Transforming Neighborhoods Program annually to support local REALTOR® associations working to address complex housing and community challenges. NAR covers the costs of the CRE® Consulting Corps’ engagement, ensuring communities can access world-class expertise at no local expense.

📢 Join the conversation 📢 The City of Bloomington, in partnership with the Mid-Illinois Realtors Association, is hosting a neighborhood conversation about this project from 4:30p.m. - 6:00p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at the Miller Park Splash Zone.

The City is especially interested in hearing from residents of the Gridley, Allin, Prickett, Near East, and Dimmitt's Grove neighborhoods, but everyone is welcome.

The City of Bloomington will get help from the public service arm of a realtors organization to revitalize several west side neighborhoods. The Counselors of Real Estate Consulting Corps will send a team to survey a broad batch of community stakeholders and write a proposal.
