Bear is a 6 yr old 12 lb Yorkie mix with a very soft heart hiding behind a lot of fear, but watching him slowly learn to trust has been incredibly rewarding, and the progress he has made since being with UDR has been amazing! Because Bear needs time to trust and keep building confidence, he will need a home that is quiet, calm, and patient so he doesn’t feel overwhelmed or unsure, and preferably one with a securely fenced yard as he is easily startled and will run and try to escape if an unexpected noise is heard or a stranger approaches. Once he trusts, he enjoys going on walks and sniffing all the smells, he does well in his crate if you leave the home, but he prefers to be with you when you are home. He is potty trained on a schedule, enjoys chewy treats, is interested in other dogs, but does not require one in the home. If you have a quiet, patient, safe, gentle home for sweet little Bear to land forever, he will reward you with loyalty and love every day.
