The Metro Bloomington housing market remained active in August, with both inventory and buyer activity moving higher. New listings rose 11% month over month to 254 homes, while pending contracts increased 10% to 102, signaling steady buyer demand.

Homes are taking longer to sell, with average days on market increasing to 48, giving buyers more time to evaluate their options. Meanwhile, the median sales price declined to $299,000, creating opportunities for buyers while reinforcing the importance of competitive pricing for sellers.

Overall, the market is becoming more balanced, with growing inventory, continued buyer interest, and moderating prices creating favorable conditions for both buyers and sellers.
