The Great Escape Cabin is located on the side of Grandfather Mountain, just 5 miles from Blowing Rock. It has true log cabin feel, with knotty pine walls and hardwood floors throughout. This cabin is 2420 square ft, spacious enough for 10 and comfy enough for 2. It has been freshly redecorated in a comfortable style for you to enjoy your laid back Mountain vacation.
There are many attractions just minutes away. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Appalachian Ski Resort, Tanger Outlet shopping, Mystery Hill and many more. The activities are endless. There are hiking trails, skiing, fishing, rafting, snow and river tubing, horseback riding, zipping, gem mining, golfing, wineries, breweries and more.
The restaurant availability is outstanding, anything from great Mom and Pop, to elegant fine dining. Explore the surrounding picturesque towns. To name a few, there's Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, West Jefferson (Ashe County Cheese), Linville and Boone. The cabin is accessible all year around. The main highway from Blowing Rock is always plowed and quickly salted after snowfall.
The lot also has a flat surface for children playing outside while the adults enjoy a game of corn hole with supplied boards. Easy keypad entrance through the French doors into the game room, which has a stone wood burning fireplace (wood supplied), slate pool table, real popcorn machine (supplies included), flat screen TV, kids play center, seating, bar stools and bar perch. There are 2 bedrooms with full size beds, bathroom and laundry room on this lower level.

The second level has vaulted ceilings in the open living, dining and kitchen areas. There is a coffee bar with a Keurig and a pot style maker. There is another stone wood burning fireplace, flat screen TV and ample seating for all. The dining room seats 6 and the island seats another 4. The kitchen is equipped with a gas range, refrigerator with ice maker, Belgium waffle maker, blender, toaster oven, microwave, pots, pans, dishes and utensils. A gas grill is on the deck with plenty of seating and a porch swing. There are 2 more bedrooms with Queen size beds and another bathroom. The third level is the large master suite with king size bed, flat screen TV, leather couch, chair and ottoman. It has an oversized bathroom with double sinks, makeup vanity and a whirlpool tub/shower. French doors lead out onto a private balcony.
