Another restaurant recommendation! We tried a place we’ve been wanting to go to for years and loved it. Wonderful service. Beautiful decor (casual elegance at its finest) and an eclectic menu for every palate. Give Storie Street Grill a try when you come.

Ok everyone, listen up. Mr Fehrway and I went to eat at our second favorite breakfast place this morning and it was closed for the day. Dangit! So we felt lost and confused and didn’t know what to do. We needed to stay in the area to run some errands and decided to go to a place I’ve been wanting to try that was highly recommended. Betty’s Biscuits right next to Mast in downtown Boone. Normally these types of interruptions don’t go well for Mr Fehrway and I and I was expecting the worst. And it ended up being one of the nicest meals we’ve had. Amazing food, cute interior and an art vending machine. Did we get a $5 painting of a gnome? Do I really need to ask that question? When you come here go there. You’ll thank me. (And the bill came in a super cute old children’s book!).

And it warms, or should I say cools!, this Florida girls heart to see that fall is starting to happen here in the mountains. Will be back in October and I can’t wait to see the colors then (though I will miss this lush landscape). But the leaves be fallen!
