Our beautiful North Carolina High Country has been home to Patti Turner for more than 25 years! Patti graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas in 1976 with a BS Degree in Social Work and Psychology. Patti’s personal passions have provided ample opportunities to be an active member of both the Boone and Blowing Rock communities. A commitment to fitness led her to own and manage F

itness Works, a training facility for men and women for 12 years, where she assisted clients with personal training and Pilates. Prior to this business adventure, she was a full time Realtor with Coldwell Banker in Boone. Patti’s community service passion continues as a volunteer assisting women and children. She previously served on the Board of Directors for OASIS for more than 15 years and assisted OASIS and WAMY, two local non-profits, in the real estate purchase of a pediatric commercial building which later became the local Family Resource Center. Patti served as President of the Appalachian Women’s Fund for three years and currently supports the Women’s Fund of the Blue Ridge. Patti's real estate career includes four years of association with Weichert Realtors, Weber-Hodges Group in Boone where she was the recipient of Platinum and Executive Club Sales Awards for Outstanding Sales Performance. She has many years of full-time time experience in the areas of residential sales and listings, REO's/bank foreclosures, short sales and commercial transactions. Patti is married to John Turner, a real estate/transactional attorney with Turner Law Office in Boone. They have one son who is a Navy fighter pilot flying the F-35C. This is a TARHEEL basketball family with John having received his law degree from the University of North Carolina and a " GO NAVY-BEAT ARMY!” sports family as well!

The latest High Country market data is in.

📍In May, Avery County saw increases in both new listings (+19.74%) and sold listings (+5.26%) compared to last year, while year-to-date sales activity remains strong.

📍Watauga County recorded a 9.09% increase in sold listings, reflecting continued buyer activity across the region.

📍Ashe County also remained active, with consistent market performance and continued interest from buyers seeking homes and land throughout the county.
