Thank you for the outpouring of support after the storm! We are safe and appreciate you all so much. There has been so much devastation in the area. During the past few days we’ve been helping folks gain access to their homes, doing road repair, and providing food/water to growing homeless population. More than half of Watauga and most of Avery County is still without power and water.

We are now going into Eagles Nest and into other areas we are building with cleanup and repair crews. We are going house by house to assess damage and will be in touch once we have more specific information.

Please be aware the DOT is asking that people not travel to the area right now as it is extremely unsafe. Tons of roads are gone, others undercut, downed power lines, trees and rockslides are everywhere. Thank you for your continued prayers!
