Dominoes! This one felt like playing dominoes. A contingent Buyer, and a contingent Seller. I received a pretty devastating phone call from a former client the week I listed this property in May of 2025, whilst I was at this home for a showing.

That phone call put me on a really tumultuous trajectory for the rest of the year in terms of mental health: battling feelings and thoughts of inadequacy for many months.

Real estate is not for the faint of heart, and I would be lying if I said i didn’t consider quitting many times during 2025.

And then there was this darling little home on Chateau: beautifully renovated, located on a quiet cul-de-sac, has a garage (a rare commodity in this price range)… but just wouldn’t sell. It was baffling and frustrating and excruciating for my sellers. But they stuck with me.
In April of 2026, a sweet young family would visit this home and fall in love. And it’s perfect for them. And so, it is not lost on me that almost a year to the date of that phone call, we closed on 963 Chateau. It highlighted my clients loyalty in light of others fickleness, and felt like a little gift from God: i am seen, and known and my efforts are not in vain.

I considered just sharing: “sold! Congratulations to all parties involved”, and leaving it at that. But, my business has always been built on authenticity and although I know no-one wants to hear a Realtor complain, I think there’s value in sharing some of the not so fun parts of this job too.

So with that: Congratulations to my Sellers and the Buyers 😀 you got a good one! And, 963 Chateau will always hold a special place in my heart as a reminder of God’s faithfulness to me
