On the main floor, we have 2 queen bedrooms and a full bath. The master is upstairs and has a king bed and full bath plus a loft with a sleeper sofa. The lower level has a bunk room with 2 full beds, a twin over full futon bed and a full bath. The
kitchen, living and dining rooms are all open and spacious yet cozy. The cabin has an eclectic rustic vibe with interesting art and design. Tired of the same old bear, deer or duck themed cabin? This is not your grandpa's cabin, you may even see a Sasquatch or two ;)
Besides the cabin itself, which is truly a one of a kind property, the outdoor surroundings provide a relaxing escape. Set in a forest lush with hemlocks and rhododendrons, you will feel like you are in a tree house on our back deck. The highlight of the property is Fightingtown Creek. The constant sound of the rushing waters is naturally soothing to the soul. We have 128 feet of frontage on the creek, which is a designated trout stream. There are stairs down to 2 decks overlooking the creek, you can access the water for wading, floating or fishing right there. The name of the cabin "Starlite" comes from a mineral (the state mineral of Georgia) that is found in several boulders that we have on the property by the creek. This mineral is Staurolite, sometimes called "fairy crosses". This is somewhat rare and is thought to have healing and calming properties and is just cool! The town of Blue Ridge and the surrounding areas offer outdoor adventure, boutique shopping and treasure hunting, dining, vineyards, breweries, beautiful mountain scenery and much more! Starlite Creek Retreat will be available for your mountain escape starting in October 2017.
