But if you’re seriously considering it, here are a few things to know about actually living here:

📍 Location: Bluffton sits between Hilton Head Island, Savannah + Beaufort, so you’re close to beaches, boating, shopping, dining and two airports.

🏡 The neighborhoods are VERY different: You’ll find everything from golf cart living near Old Town to gated golf communities, waterfront neighborhoods, newer family-friendly communities and larger homesites with more privacy.

⛳️ Golf is a lifestyle here: Private club communities are a huge part of the Lowcountry, but you absolutely do NOT have to live in one to have access to great golf.

🌊 You’re close to the water: Hilton Head beaches are an easy drive, the May River runs through Bluffton, and boating, kayaking + paddleboarding can become part of your regular weekend routine.

💰 Your budget matters, but so does WHERE you spend it: HOA fees, club memberships, flood zones, insurance, proximity to the water and new construction can all make two similarly priced homes feel very different.

And that’s exactly why we don’t think your Lowcountry home search should start with scrolling Zillow.
