A little taste of Lebanon right here on The Ave! 🇱🇧🌴

We recently stopped at Amar Sandwich Shop in downtown Delray Beach, and I loved learning the story behind this little spot.

Amar Sandwich Shop is the fast-casual sister concept to Amar Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar, bringing Lebanese street-food favorites to Atlantic Avenue — including shawarma, falafel, hummus, pita wraps, man’oushes and more.

The story goes back to owner Nicolas Kurban, who grew up in Lebanon and spent years working in the hospitality industry before returning to his roots and bringing his family’s Lebanese flavors to Delray Beach.

The sandwich shop opened in 2025, giving locals and visitors a more casual way to enjoy those flavors.

I love finding these local gems around Delray — because living here isn’t just about where you live, it’s about discovering the places, people and flavors that make the community special. ❤️

25 years later, we remember.

We remember the lives lost.
We remember the families who were forever changed.
We remember the first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.
And we remember the strength, compassion, and unity that followed in the days and weeks after.

September 11, 2001, changed our country and left a mark on all of us in different ways. Some remember exactly where they were. Some remember the people they lost. And some know that day only through the stories passed down to them.

Today, we pause to honor those who were taken from us and those who continue to carry their memory.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Today I made a trip to The Container Store to help plan a closet for a family member, and it reminded me just how much I love this place!

I was rushing to an appointment today when I looked up and saw these rainbows. 🌈

It made me pause for just a moment.

Sometimes life feels like this road—busy, moving fast, and always somewhere we need to be. We get so focused on the destination that we forget to look around along the way.

And then, unexpectedly, something beautiful appears.

A reminder that even on the stormiest days, there can be light breaking through. That we don’t always need to have everything figured out. And that sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when we simply slow down enough to notice them.

Living in South Florida isn’t always beaches, sunshine and palm trees.

Sometimes it’s parking lots, paperwork, and standing in line hoping you brought every single document they require. 😆

Today was one of those days.

But hey—errands are part of real life here too. 🌴

Labor Day | A Moment to Reflect 🇺🇸

Labor Day is more than the unofficial end of summer or a long weekend.

It’s a moment to pause and recognize the value of hard work—the early mornings, long days, sacrifices, persistence, and the people who keep showing up, even when no one is watching.

As a Realtor, I’m reminded every day that behind every move is someone who has worked hard to get there. A first home. A new chapter. A bigger space for a growing family. A place to finally slow down and enjoy the life they’ve worked so hard to build.

And sometimes, Labor Day is simply a reminder to stop for a moment and appreciate how far we’ve come.

Here’s to the dreamers, the builders, the small business owners, the parents, the caregivers, the tradespeople, the professionals, and everyone putting in the work to create a life they’re proud of.

Happy Labor Day. 🇺🇸

Take a breath. Enjoy the people you love. And remember—the work matters, but so does taking the time to enjoy what you’re working for. ❤️
