I just email the White House.
Dear Mr. President,
First off, I know you have an extremely difficult job and pray for your success on a daily basis.
This email is about the pandemic. I'm vaccinated and boosted and I just listened to Dr. Scott Gottlieb on CNBC, who was a former advisory member of the FDA and currently on the board of Pfizer. He was asked if he agrees with New York's Mayor, Eric Adams that everyone should return to the office now and he did not reply affirmatively. This disturbed me enough to email you.
The omicron is spreading like wildfire and it's penetrating the vaccines.
For anyone who bothered to listen from the inception of the vaccines, that they would not prevent us from getting the coronavirus infection but the efficacy they referred to was the prevention of major illness associated with it, namely severe acute respiratory sickness (SARS).
So, do these vaccines still do that with the omicron variant, which is rapidly spreading, from the ravages of SARS for people who are vaccinated or boosted or do we (the vaccinated) now have a high likelihood of getting sick and winding up in an ICU despite our vaccine status?
If it's the former, then, in my view, we need to stop the massive testing and calling each positive case of asymptomatic or mildly ill people cases and REMOVE THE MASKS and that should start with YOU or if it's the latter, please stop telling the public to get vaccinated.
I also feel that the federal government's investment in testing is a massive waste of the taxpayers money, rather an investment in the therapuetics like Phizer's new anti viral and Regeneron's monoclonal anti body and start using the Defense Authorization Act to compel any drug company with the capacity to mass produce these therapies do so.
