This is just horrifying. These innocent animals. The courages people caring for them. Why? Just why?

Zoos have often been collateral damage in war around the world. And war is now touching Kyiv’s zoo, next to a key military installation and possibly in the path of a Russian push into the capital.

Animals are increasingly exhibiting signs of stress. They cower from the air raid sirens and blasts that ring out throughout the day. Gunfire often can be heard at night.

Fearing the worst — and seeking shelter from attacks in their own neighborhoods — around 50 staff members have moved into the sprawling facility to care for the animals around-the-clock, bringing some 30 family members with them. https://wapo.st/3IP14RC

Monday Market Update: Scarsdale
In the past week:
6 homes came on the market.
10 homes went under contract with a median list price of $1,549,000
8 homes sold with a median of selling price of $1,272,000 (102% of the asking price) and were on the market 26 days before they went into contract.
We are seeing a strengthening of the upper end of the market, especially homes over $2 million when you look deeper at the shift in the number of transactions in this price range versus year ago. For more details, contact me. I’m happy to discuss.

Monday Market Update: Scarsdale
Last week was an active week.
7 homes came on the market.
5 homes went into contract.
11 homes sold. Welcome to Scarsdale!!
The med sales price was $1,520,000 which was 100% of the last asking price (but 97% of original list price). 31 days on market to contract signing.
Some observations. Sellers had been trying to take advantage of low inventory and low interest rates by trying to lead the buyers with higher listing prices. Buyers seemed not to take the bait. When the sellers reduced their asking price, buyers realized value and responded.
