A legal description of property is a short document approximately five sentences long that describes a piece of real estate. It is usually accompanied by a survey sketch for a visual understanding of the property boundaries.

Key thing to remember:

🔑 An Address can change but the legal description will never change.

🔑 As title professionals, this is how we identify a property. It is comprised of the Lot/Block and Subdivision of property.

🔑 When searching your county CAD, if you can't locate it through the address you can guarantee, you can find it by utilizing the legal description.
