Mold Assessments-Mold is the most common cause for respiratory issues. Ongoing water leaks should not

be overlooked as this may lead to hidden mold growth. Individuals with compromised immune systems may feel the effects more severely than others. Another common, yet neglected chore of being a homeowner/business owner is the routine maintenance of HVAC units or other forms of air exchange systems. As part of our mold assessment service, we inspect all areas of a home/business, including air handlers, using specialized equipment (moisture meters, thermal infrared cameras, humidity/temperature readings, etc.) We provide a clear report indicating any areas of concern and a specific set of recommendations on how to remediate any issues and how to prevent future mold growth.

Asbestos Inspections-Asbestos was a highly desired construction material before the 1980s. The properties asbestos provided was unmatched at the time and most homes built before 1980 had some form of asbestos installed (floor tiles, pipe insulation, exterior siding, etc.) These materials are generally harmless unless they are disturbed, which then releases asbestos fibers into the air where they can then be inhaled and cause damage to the body. Asbestos exposure is the leading cause for lung cancer, mesothelioma and asbestosis. Not only is it dangerous to be exposed to asbestos, but being exposed to asbestos fibers as an active cigarette smoker, greatly increases the chances of developing lung cancer or mesothelioma. Have your home/business tested before any major renovations and let abatement professionals take care of the worry.

Radon Testing- Radon comes from the natural (radioactive) breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water and gets into the air you breathe. It can get into any type of building—homes, offices, and schools—and result in a high indoor radon level. But you and your family are most likely to get your greatest exposure at home, where you spend most of your time. Testing is the only way to know if you and your family are at risk from radon. Testing is inexpensive, easy, and takes very little time. Our reports provide lab results from a certified radon lab and also outline recommendations if elevated radon levels are identified in your home. Radon reduction systems work and they are not too costly. Some radon reduction systems can reduce radon levels in your home by up to 99%. Even very high levels can be reduced to acceptable levels. As a small family business, we take pride in providing our clients with high-quality reports in a timely manner. Give us a call to see how we can tailor our services to you!

Opening your windows can help freshen up your space—but it doesn’t solve everything.

If there’s hidden moisture, mold, or poor air quality inside the home, fresh air is only a temporary fix. The source still needs to be addressed.

Clean air isn’t just about circulation — it’s about what’s happening behind the walls, under the floors, and in the spaces you don’t see every day.

Behind the toilet is one of those spots that rarely gets attention — until something shows up.

Moisture from small leaks, condensation, or everyday humidity can sit against materials like wood paneling and slowly create the perfect conditions for mold to grow. Because it’s tucked away, it often goes unnoticed until it spreads.

Hidden areas like this are worth checking from time to time — what’s out of sight doesn’t stay small forever.

Spring cleaning usually focuses on what you can see — but what about the air you’re breathing?

After a long winter, homes can hold onto trapped moisture, dust, and poor air circulation. That’s when musty smells, hidden leaks, and mold issues tend to show up.

A simple seasonal reset—checking humidity, airflow, and moisture-prone areas—can make a big difference in keeping your home feeling fresh and healthy.

Because a true reset goes beyond surface-level.

Mold doesn’t need much to grow — just moisture, a surface, and time.

It can develop behind walls, under flooring, in closets, attics, basements, and anywhere humidity stays elevated. And while some mold is visible, a lot of it spreads out of sight, affecting air quality long before you notice it.

Common signs to watch for:
• Musty odors
• Water stains or discoloration
• Peeling paint or warped materials
• Increased allergy-like symptoms indoors

Mold is often a symptom of an underlying moisture issue — not just a surface problem.

Not every leak looks dramatic — but even small, slow moisture issues can lead to mold growth over time.

Peeling paint, stains, or soft drywall often mean water has been present longer than you think. What starts small can quietly turn into a much bigger problem.

Asbestos isn’t always obvious — and that’s what makes it dangerous.

It can be hidden in older flooring, insulation, ceiling tiles, and more — especially in homes built before the 1980s. When these materials are left undisturbed, they may not pose an immediate risk. But once they’re cut, sanded, or damaged, microscopic fibers can be released into the air.

And because you can’t see or smell those fibers, exposure often happens without you even realizing it.

Knowing where asbestos may be — and testing before disturbing materials — is key to keeping your home safe.

A home can look spotless — and still have underlying issues.

Fresh paint can cover stains.
Renovations can hide old damage.
Clean surfaces don’t tell you what’s behind walls or under floors.

Real home safety comes from understanding what’s happening beneath the surface — especially when it comes to moisture, mold, and air quality.

Because “clean” is what you see.
“Safe” is what you know.

Water damage isn’t just cosmetic — it’s where bigger problems begin.

What starts as a small leak can quietly lead to mold growth, weakened materials, and poor indoor air quality. By the time you see stains, warping, or cracks, moisture has often been sitting there for a while.

Left untreated, water damage can compromise both your home and your health.

The sooner it’s identified, the easier (and less expensive) it is to fix.

That “musty” smell isn’t just unpleasant — it’s often a sign that moisture is trapped somewhere in the home.

Basements, closets, crawlspaces, and attics are common places where mold can grow unnoticed.

If a smell keeps coming back, it’s worth finding the source instead of masking it.

Basements are one of the most common places we find mold — and it usually starts with moisture that goes unnoticed.

What looks like a small issue can be a sign of ongoing dampness, poor ventilation, or even foundation leaks. And because basements are out of sight, problems often grow before they’re addressed.

If your basement smells musty, feels damp, or shows any spotting like this, it’s worth taking a closer look.
