As a dad of 3 girls living in Idaho these are the areas I would look at over Boise every single time.

Eagle and Star.

Eagle for the waterfront communities, the oversized lots, the schools, and that small town feel that is getting harder and harder to find this close to the city. The 208 Night Market is now in its third year and it just moved to a brand new venue at Shindig Farms — open Idaho farmland, string lights, fire pits, and a starry sky above you all night.

Every Friday and Saturday from 5PM to 9PM.

50 plus vendors of global street food, local food trucks, handcrafted goods, live DJs, and family friendly activities all in one place.

This started as a Friday night thing. It got so popular they added Saturdays. Then they outgrew their old venue entirely and moved to a bigger spot for 2026.

And if you want to catch a special one — the 208 Night Market is collaborating with the Downtown Nampa Association for the Viva Nampa Festival on June 20th at Lloyd Square Park.

Apple to open an $8 Million super store at the Village?

Building permits have been filed with the City of Meridian. Construction is underway. And the target opening is October 2026.

The store is estimated at 10,000 square feet with an $8 million project value — and it is part of a 30,000 square foot expansion at The Village that is also bringing in Pottery Barn, Alo Yoga, Vuori, and Kendra Scott all at the same time.

The Village already has over 100 stores and restaurants. This expansion makes it the most complete outdoor shopping destination in the entire Northwest.
