National Popcorn Day
JANUARY 19, 2024

I grew up with a grandmother who LOVED popcorn. It was always in a bowl at her house. At home, I would get excited when I heard the popcorn pour into the pan of hot oil and my mom would pop up a bowl for our family movie nights. My kids can tell you that even today, popcorn remains a big part of my life. I love popcorn anytime, but Thursday nights, if I’m not working with a client, you can find me with a little handful of M&Ms, a large Diet Pepsi with ice, my latest mystery thriller and a big bowl of Popcorn. Thursday’s are my self care night and that is my recipe for the perfect evening.
I use a microwave popcorn popper now, to cut down on the oil, but I recently read a review for some movie popcorn salt flavoring that is on Amazon that I am excited to try. It’s supposed to give it the same flavor as movie theater popcorn. I’ll have to try it. Enjoy National Popcorn Day however you like to eat popcorn!!
