🐶 Leave your pup at home. The balloon burners can hurt their sensitive ears—we were SO glad someone told us this our first year!

Yes, it’s early. Yes, you may be carrying half-asleep children through a park. 😂 But sitting on a blanket, breakfast in hand, watching the sky fill with balloons as the sun comes up over Boise?

So worth it. 🎈❤️

Sometimes we catch ourselves asking, “How do we get to live here?”

This weekend, we packed up and headed to Ketchum, Idaho. We spent our days fishing, hiking, exploring, and simply slowing down. It wasn’t anything extravagant - it was just one of those weekends that reminds you how special Idaho really is.

One of the things that makes Idaho so unique is just how wild and untouched so much of it still is - from vast mountain ranges to places like the Frank Church–River of No Return Wilderness, the largest contiguous wilderness area in the lower 48. It really gives you that feeling of true escape, even when you’re still in your own state.

The funny thing is, after over a decade of living here, that feeling still hasn’t worn off.

We still find places that surprise us. We still leave weekends like this talking about where we should explore next. And that’s one of the things we love most about Idaho - you don’t have to travel far to feel like you’ve gotten away.

It’s also why we love what we do.
