If you’re looking for your next amazing meal in Boise, I’ve got three spots you need to try right now.

These are the restaurants I keep coming back to. First up is Susina—European American comfort food done right. The menu is small, intentional, and everything arrives in beautifully paced courses, just like you’d experience in Europe. Next is Wilder Pizza, and I swear their sourdough crust is reason enough to go. Their veggies and salads are just as impressive… and if that heirloom tomato dish is still in season, don’t walk—run. And finally, Don and Charlie’s downtown. They serve some of the most creative sandwiches in Boise, and the Maison Tonne has my heart. If you’re out for lunch on 10th, it’s a must.

Imagine spending $20,000 on a dream deck… only to have to tear it down. 😬

In Idaho, every property has what's called “setbacks” — basically, the required distance between your home (or any structure) and your property lines. Typically, it’s 5 feet on the sides, 15 feet in the front, and 20 feet in the back. One Boise homeowner learned this the hard way when his new deck crossed that boundary and had to be demolished after a neighbor complaint. The moral? Always check your survey before you build — it could save you a ton of money and stress.

Buying land in Idaho? Don’t get caught in this unexpected (and expensive) mistake!

Just because a property looks perfect on paper doesn’t mean you automatically get road access. In Idaho—and many rural areas—it’s possible to buy land that’s completely landlocked. That means no legal way to reach your property without crossing someone else’s land. One of our clients learned this the hard way—after purchasing their dream lot, they had to pay an extra $15,000 just to secure legal access through an easement. Always check for recorded access before you sign!
