Keep your heater set to at least 50, leave laundry room doors closed with heat lamp on, leave faucets dripping and leave cabinet doors open in bathroom and kitchen. BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — Time magazine posted a story Friday about a new study that figured out which states tip the highest and lowest.

The study, done by payment processing company Square, based the rankings on millions of credit card and debit card purchases in July.

The worst state for tipping is Hawaii, according to the study. Buyers there average about a 14.8 percent tip.

However, the best state for tipping, with folks giving out an average 17.4 percent tip, is the great state of Idaho.
