CHAPTER 8: August 🍋🎡

August, you did the MOST.

Birthday month. A record-breaking month in real estate. And apparently we decided to full send the end of summer while we were at it. 🤣

Peach picking, Scottsdale, concerts, Roaring Springs, Urban Air, the fair, Karol G, birthday celebrations, and soaking up the beauty of Boise at the Tree of Life and along the river.

We went hard in business AND in life, and somehow this month didn’t feel like too much. It just felt really, really full.

Favorite Day: I genuinely can’t choose. August felt like squeezing every last drop out of summer to make the perfect lemonade.

Something I Learned: Breaking a personal record in real estate had a lot of people asking me, “How did you do it?”

And the truth is… if I knew the exact formula, I’d close 10 homes every month. 🤣

In real estate, we love trying to make everything mean something. We look for the perfect strategy, the perfect system, the math equation we can repeat. But after 13 years in this business, I keep coming back to the same thing: it’s a people business.

Know people. Care about people. Be really freaking good at helping them when they have a need you can fill. Do it with love, passion, and consistency, and trust that the results will follow.

Sometimes that looks like 10 closings in a month. Sometimes it doesn’t.

Either way, I’m really freaking grateful.

And maybe August gave me another definition of “slow”: slow was never about living a smaller life. It was about being present enough to actually enjoy the big one I’m building. 🤍

My client saw the value in ownership over renting and made a move with the long game in mind. Four brand-new townhomes secured in this community, and we just closed on the final two.

Some homes just feel like the beginning of something really good. 🤍

Half an acre right here in Boise, complete with a pool, an amazing garden, a workshop, and the kind of back patio that was made for gathering friends and family.

Of course, we weren’t the only ones who fell in love. Multiple offers later…we got it. 🙌🏼

Selling a home is one thing. Selling one after you’ve already moved across the country is another.

My seller moved to New York and trusted us to handle the rest: getting the house ready, coordinating the details, getting it listed, and carrying it all the way through closing.

The goal was simple: make this as hands-off and easy for her as possible. And that’s exactly what we did.

First home, turn-key, and officially theirs. 🤍

These buyers found a fantastic home in Meridian that checked so many of their boxes, and we were even able to negotiate an interest rate buydown to make the numbers that much sweeter.

The road to closing had a few bumps, especially through inspections, but after some back-and-forth and problem-solving, we made it to the best part: happy buyers with keys to their first home. 🤩

CHAPTER 7: July ☀️

July was brought to you by the complete opposite of slow.

We went to Donnelly, floated the river multiple times, celebrated what seemed like 51 birthdays and 17 parties, spent so much time with friends and family, put 10 properties under contract, and bought our very first Airbnb.

It stretched me in all the best ways.

This month showed me where my boundaries need to be, what has to change to build a healthy business and a beautiful life, and that growth usually comes with a little discomfort. Most days I felt like the hood ornament instead of the driver, but every lesson was worth it.

Favorite Day: July 31st. 🤣 We had just closed on our Airbnb, welcomed our first guests, and after such a full month, I finally felt like I could come up for air.

Something I Learned: Sometimes the busiest seasons reveal the most. July reminded me that building a life I love also means protecting the energy it takes to live it.
