BIG News from Fannie Mae!
Starting November 2025, Desktop Underwriter® (DU®) — the automated system used by most lenders — will no longer require a minimum credit score to determine loan eligibility!

What does this mean?
✅ The old 620 minimum credit score rule is going away.
✅ DU will instead use a comprehensive risk assessment to evaluate borrowers.
✅ Borrowers with limited or nontraditional credit history may have more opportunities to qualify for a mortgage.
✅ Homebuyer education and documentation requirements will be tailored for buyers without traditional credit.

This is a huge step forward in expanding access to homeownership — especially for first-time buyers and those building their credit history.
These changes take effect November 15–16, 2025, so now is the perfect time to start preparing and understanding what this means for you!
