Bolinas’s oldest house is available for the first time in 55 years. Set on 7.5 acres on Horseshoe Hill, the home was built with old-growth redwood from nearby Dogtown in the mid-1800s. Pine Gulch Creek runs through the property, native vegetation runs its border, and a central meadow is sundrenched, offering a glimpse of the lagoon.
A rare use permit allows three residences on the property, including the original house and two additional homes, allowing an optimum multi-residence retreat.
Built by early lumberjacks for rancho-owner Gregoria Briones in exchange for logging rights on Rancho Las Baulines, the property has had only three major owners in roughly 175 years and is ready for its next stewards.
