đ¨ Real Estate PSA đ¨
If youâre scrolling Zillow, Realtor.com, Homes.com, or any of the other home search sites and see a house you love, be careful before you hit the âSchedule a Tourâ or âContact Agentâ button.
Most people assume those requests go directly to the listing agent.
In many cases, they donât.
Instead, your information is often sent to an agent who has paid for advertising on that platform. They may be a fantastic Realtor, but they may have never stepped foot in the home, spoken with the seller, or know anything beyond whatâs already online.
Think about it this way: You wouldnât choose a surgeon, accountant, or financial advisor based on who happened to buy the ad space next to your search results. Your Realtor deserves the same level of consideration.
Hereâs the better plan:
đĄ Find a Realtor you know, like, and trust.
đĄ Send them the address of the home youâre interested in.
đĄ Let them schedule the showing, answer your questions, negotiate on your behalf, and protect your interests throughout the process.
Zillow is great at helping you find houses, but not always great at helping you find a Realtor.
The person guiding you through one of the biggest financial decisions of your life shouldnât be chosen by an advertising algorithm.
If youâre house hunting and have questions about a propertyâeven if youâre just browsing and not ready to buy yetâsend me a message. Iâm always happy to help.
