🚨 Florida Property Tax Update 🚨

The Florida House approved a proposal that could let voters decide in November whether to eliminate all non-school property taxes on homesteaded properties starting January 1, 2027.

It passed 80–30 in the House — but it still must clear the Senate with a three-fifths majority before it can go on the ballot. If it does, it would require 60% voter approval to pass.

Supporters say it would help Florida’s affordability crisis.
Opponents warn it could significantly reduce funding for local services like police, fire, and infrastructure.

Nothing is final yet — but this is a major issue for Florida homeowners to watch. 👀
