The average interest rate on 30 year fixed rate mortgage has been increasing rapidly since mid August and now stands at 7.5%.

I-75 in Southwest Florida is about to grow wider to meet the demands of extremely heavy traffic. The added lanes will stretch 21 miles from Golden Gate Parkway in Collier County, north to Alico Rd. in Lee County.

The Florida Department of Transportation is planning a 21-mile improvement project on Interstate 75 in Lee and Collier counties to reduce traffic congestion and enhance safety.

With Florida's new homestead tax exemption now on the ballot this coming November, property owners want to know, will they be paying less or more in taxes and fees overall compared to the current tax exemption.
The answer is a gray area. The best answer is "it all depends".

Florida voters will decide in November whether to expand homestead exemptions, cutting county and city property taxes under a plan that’s raised questions over who exactly benefits.

Former Fort Myers Beach Wyndham Hotel Property Approved for Food Truck Park, Tiki Bar, Entertainment Venue

The site of the former Wyndham Hotel, at 6890 Estero Blvd. on the south end of Fort Myers Beach, is slated to become a beachfront food truck park, tiki bar and entertainment venue.
The Fort Myers Beach Local Planning Agency has approved the development of an 11,200 square feet pole barn tiki structure that will include six food service mobile trailers.
Plans also call for a pool and lazy river swimming area, live music with outdoor seating and parking. If the Fort Myers Beach Town Council goes along, the developer plans to have the facility open for the 2026-2027 Winter tourist season. The Wyndham Hotel, formerly a Holiday Inn, was destroyed in 2022 by Hurricane Ian.
