Remember that any moving parts of your shutters are susceptible weather, dirt, debris, as well as dead snails, frogs, and lizards that harden like small rocks and can cause damage to your shutters causing them to malfunction. 🤓

This is EXTREMELY important. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I put up manual panel shutters for clients and there were missing panels, missing hardware, the panels did not fit the wall studs, the wall anchors were loose, and the list goes on. Manual panel hurricane shutters are very time and labor intensive in putting them up prior to a storm. That is why you absolutely MUST make sure your manual panel shutters and hardware are all in place before you leave Florida for the summer months. Have your shutter guy do a trial run/mock install to ensure you are ready for the summer hurricane season ahead. They can also number all manual panel shutters so you know which panels go to which window. 😉
