One of the things I love most about our community is how we come together to support one another.

I’m honored to have been part of this year’s Backpack Drive and grateful for the recognition, but the real celebration belongs to every neighbor, volunteer, and organization that helped make it possible. Together, we’re helping local students head back to school with the supplies they need to succeed.

Giving back has always been a core value for me, and it’s a privilege to serve a community that consistently shows up for one another. Thank you to everyone who continues to make a difference. Here’s to another great school year!

They Really Don’t Make Them Like They Used To

Found these vintage appliances at a listing yesterday and had to snap a few photos. They may not have touchscreens, apps, or smart features, but they have apparently been getting the job done for decades.

You have to appreciate how well these have been maintained. Some things were just built to last.

Sometimes the best way to recharge is to slow down and spend a little time in nature. From birds gliding across the water to the simple sights and sounds around every corner, Lakes Park is one of those places that makes it easy to disconnect from the noise and reset.

We admire butterflies for how majestic and beautiful they are, but we often forget they were once caterpillars… once hidden away inside a cocoon.

Maybe life’s adversities are your caterpillar season. Maybe the isolation, the setbacks, the uncertainty, or the struggles are your cocoon season. But the butterfly doesn’t become beautiful in spite of the process — it becomes beautiful because of it.

So don’t give up on yourself just because life feels heavy right now. Growth is uncomfortable, transformation takes time, and some of the most beautiful chapters are born from the hardest seasons. Keep moving forward. Your wings may still be forming.
