The last time I remember this was when I first started real estate...(95)... It was stated that ALL this type of discrimination written in any deed was null and VOID. I read that to remove it from every old deed completely would take the courts 25 years minimum. I actually sold a couple houses with those words..that you had to be white to buy and live there. The court order or whatever document voided all that should be enough to satisfy all this back and forth stuff about "fair housing". Sure it was wrong but it's GONE. Only in writing does it remain. (And it's very specific "in writing" also that this DOES NOT APPLY.)

Though no longer enforceable, ‘Whites only’ provisions in California property deeds can be a painful reminder of the state’s racist past.
