There’s something surreal about putting your own home on the market.

After helping so many families navigate the emotions of buying and selling, this time… it was my turn.

When I listed my personal property, I wasn’t just the agent — I was the seller standing in the kitchen remembering the late nights, the milestones, the ordinary days that turned into memories. Every showing felt different when it was my front door. Every offer felt personal.

And while I was negotiating on my own behalf, I was also the buyer — dreaming about the next chapter, the next set of memories, the next place that would become “home.”

Balancing both sides of the transaction gave me a whole new appreciation for what my clients feel. The excitement. The nerves. The “are we really doing this?” moments. The bittersweet goodbye. The hopeful hello.

We prepped.
We strategized.
We navigated inspections and timelines.
We signed on the dotted lines.

And just like that — one chapter closed and another began.

Selling and buying at the same time is not for the faint of heart… but it reminded me exactly why I love what I do. Because at the end of the day, it’s never just a transaction.

It’s a transition.
