Ever since my first visit to these mountains, I knew I had found my home. Never in my life had I visited a place with both breathtakingly beautiful scenery as well as some of the friendliest people. Everyone was smiling, strangers caught eye contact, people just seemed to really care. It was so special finding both stunning beauty and incredible kindness in one place. I bought my current home at the base of Grandfather Mountain in the spring of 2003, and my appreciation for this area has never stopped growing. With perfect mild temperatures in the summertime, a sea of autumn colors in the fall, snow for wintertime fun, quaint and artsy downtown areas, and a great sense of community, these Blue Ridge Mountains just seems to bring out the best in people. My ancestors all come from Germany, and I was fortunate enough to spend four years of my childhood living in Europe. I still have a lot of family living in Germany, and I love visiting those rolling hills and medieval cities. I lived the rest of my childhood in New England and have been vacationing in the Carolinas since the late 70s. After a few years in mortgage banking, I began my career as a real estate professional in 1997. With my South Carolina real estate license, I sold property in Hilton Head Island and Bluffton, South Carolina. While living in the Lowcountry, I also led outdoor adventure and environmental education programs. My years as a nature guide exploring the estuaries from a kayak, and leading multi day wilderness trips, shaped my perspective and my appreciation for life. I will forever be grateful for those experiences and how they aid me in making conscious choices and providing solid advice for my clients today. Prior to getting my North Carolina real estate license and continuing my real estate career in the High Country, I worked with Blue Ridge Learning Centers facilitating team-building programs, including high ropes courses for both corporate as well as youth groups. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cm laude. Besides my work, I also enjoy other fun activities in my free time. My favorites are hiking, skiing and scuba diving, and I have also been lucky enough to spend time sailing and hang gliding. I am thrilled with my career choice of Real Estate. I love my work. I absolutely love working with people and getting to know people and really listening to their wants and needs. Being able to help my clients achieve their goals is extremely gratifying. I am grateful to work with a company, Keller Williams, who really is like a family. We all help each other out. It is a very supportive and positive environment. We are a team. I am so very fortunate to live in such an incredibly beautiful place, with a kind and nurturing community, and to love my work.
