Our book club features a different book selection each month. Each book has ties to the Blue Ridge Mountains. This month’s selection at Tanglewood is Cold Mountain, a novel by Charles Frazier born in Asheville, NC. Did you know it was made into both a movie AND an opera? One of the best things about visiting one of our cabins is relaxing with a cup of coffee (or tea or cocoa) and a book!

Running through October the King Street Farmers Market offers food trucks, crafts, local produce and locally grown plants and flowers. It’s held on Tuesday afternoons from 4-7 pm. Although we’re at the end of it it’s season this year make plans to visit next year!

I’m super excited about our new living room chandelier. There was an old ceiling fan that I was worried was going to take flight and cause injury 😳. But now we have a brand new LED chandelier. And no fan blades to worry about. … or clean. 😂. Photo showing my last attempt at cleaning up there and my duster got stranded 😂😂
