Fannie and Freddie announced a MAJOR shift in 🏡 mortgage qualifications! They have adopted a new credit scoring model that counts your ON TIME rental & utility payments,along with other guidelines, towards your mortgage qualification.
This is HUGE for anyone currently renting and thinking of buying a home.
The rollout is currently in the “pilot” stage with only a select group of lenders participating. I fully expect this to be a major success.
This is the first major credit scoring update in decades and could lead an easier path to homeownership for millions of people.
