Four months ago, I officially became realtor. Today I closed my very first real estate transaction. 🏡
At the beginning of my Year of 50, becoming a realtor started as a simple thought- You know what? I think it would be fun to sell houses.
So I signed up for the classes. I studied. I passed the exam.
And then came the hardest part—putting myself out there. Today is proof that sometimes the things that scare us the most are the things we should do anyway.
Along the way I’ve learned that success isn’t a race and that everyone’s journey looks different. I’ve learned there is always something new to learn.
Most importantly, I’ve learned that I am capable of more than I give myself credit for.
And to my biggest supporters—thank you. Thank you for encouraging me, celebrating every little win, listening to my endless rambles and crazy Hollyisms, and reminding me to keep going when I doubted myself. Your support has meant more than you know.
To my buyers, congratulations! Thank you for trusting me to help you through such an important milestone. It was truly an honor to be part of your journey.
A few days ago I joked that selling houses was my alter ego. The truth is, I hope helping people buy and sell homes becomes one of my superpowers.
Here’s to taking chances, trying new things at 50, and celebrating the first closing of what I hope will be many more.
🏡❤️ Here’s to the first of many.
