This sale helped our client (a plumbing company) complete a reverse 1031 exchange that we have been working on for months. In a reverse 1031 exchange, you are able to buy a new property BEFORE you sell the old property (and still defer the capital gains tax). This allowed us to find our client a new, larger location for their business and complete that purchase and relocation before they needed to sell and move out of their previous location.
