The National Association of Realtors (NAR) recently put out this helpful article confirming current kitchen trends for those thinking about this. I would add that while some trends remain strong such as using quartz and gray and White, I have noticed a trend towards bringing some muted, softer, and some richer colors to cabinets and mixing in wood tones for a more natural and organic warmth.
