Welcome to 275 Medford - a historic renovation of one of the last remaining warehouses in the Terminal Street Warehouse District! Strategically situated along Charlestown's shore line, we are conveniently located to the Navy Yard, the North End, the West End, Cambridge, Somerville, Medford and downtown Boston. Our location offers our residents easy access to Boston's major highways, public transportation, access to Zip Cars, and multiple bike sharing locations. We are minutes away from Assembly Row, a popular destination for shopping, dining and nightlife, as well as Encore Boston. We have Charlestown's only available charging stations for your EV (and parking for your vehicle, your bike AND your kayak), and we are one of the pet-friendliest communities in town! Oh, and the view from the roof deck is pretty spectacular... if you're into that sort of thing.
On the National Registry of Historic Places, the warehouse known officially as 267–281 Medford Street is located near the old commercial wharves in Charlestown and is one of three early 20th-century structures along the Mystic River in Charlestown that still stands. Built between 1910 and 1913, the building served as home to a wool processing company, a maker of plush carnival toys, and a lumber processing plant. The original wood framework of the building was reclaimed and repurposed into flooring, paneling and other millwork. The reprocessed timber has been used in new construction and historic renovations throughout Charlestown, Somerville and Medford. Much of the original wood was reused throughout the building as decorative accents and furnishings to maintain the look and feel of the original warehouse.
In 2014, after nearly three-and-a-half decades sitting vacant, 275 Medford was born. Offering 121 luxury loft apartments, it is a state of the art, high-efficiency brick building that pays homage to its past and stands as one of Boston’s first all “low-flow” residential buildings. Designed on the principals of conservation, 275 Medford is outfitted with the latest low-flow plumbing, “green” heating and cooling systems and energy efficient technologies. Strategically located with easy access to Boston, major highways and local shopping and restaurants, 275 Medford offers its residents an unbeatable combination of history, value and convenience.
