🏡 Worcester County Market Update | July 2026
The market continues to show steady strength, with home values remaining strong and inventory gradually improving. Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, or simply keeping up with the market, staying informed can help you make the right move.
One question I get asked all the time is, “What are the best towns outside of Worcester?” While every buyer’s needs are different, some of my personal favorite communities are:
📍 Westborough – A top choice for commuters thanks to MBTA rail access, highly rated schools, and a vibrant downtown filled with restaurants, shops, and community events.
📍 Shrewsbury – Consistently one of the area’s most desirable towns, offering excellent schools, beautiful neighborhoods, Lake Quinsigamond, and convenient access to major highways.
📍 Grafton – A town that perfectly blends historic New England charm with modern convenience. The commuter rail, growing downtown, and strong sense of community make it an excellent option.
📍 Northborough – Known for its family-friendly neighborhoods, great schools, parks, and easy access to both Worcester and the Greater Boston area.
📍 Millbury – One of the best values in the region, offering quick access to Route 146 and the Mass Pike, with plenty of shopping, dining, and continued growth.
Each of these communities offers something unique, and the “best” town ultimately depends on your lifestyle, commute, budget, and long-term goals. That’s why I always encourage buyers to look beyond just the listing price and consider the overall fit for their family.
