Home sellers often ask me “Is home staging really worth it?”…. I’ll let you be the judge. Granted the unstated photos are ones I quickly took with an iPhone (although some realtors still use their iPhone for marketing photos 😡), but the point is clear.
Staging helps BOTH online/physical marketing materials As well as how people feel about the space when they walk in. It helps buyers understand how to:
A. Use a space
B. Understand what size furniture will fit
C. If styled well, (thank you for making sure our house looked amazing!) feel positively about a home/room
D. Envision themselves living there.
PS, this property (our old house) got multiple offers after 7 days on the market, while 5 other comparable properties got no offers that same weekend. Just saying, great staging helps a lot.

And just like that The Khesin’s house has SOLD!!! 5 years of incredible memories for our family, in a home that was so so good to us. I will miss our friends who lived around the corner, and the boys friends who would just walk in right in to hang out, and having Robbins park across the street.
Now we’re off to our rental for at least 15 months while we look for our forever home to build. The adventure has begun!

Surprise surprise, the national headlines don’t seem to be quite accurate… at least not in our neck of the woods.
Year to date, for single family homes values:
📍 Arlington up 6.9%
📍 Wi******er up 10.9%
📍 Lexington up 10.8%
📍 Belmont up 14.9%
📍 Cambridge up 19.2%
Yes inventory is higher than 2024, but still wayyyyy lower than 2019 (last balanced market).
However, buyer demand is also lower than 2019, and rates still sit above 6%. What does this mean for home sellers?
-Price intelligently
-Do a massive amount of home preparation
-Hire a realtor who knows how to market your home in a multiple of ways
