Blackstone Square and Franklin Square are two public plazas in the South End split by Washington Street. Franklin Square was founded back in 1849 and Blackstone Square was founded back in 1855. These plazas have become popular spots for locals and tourists alike to spend their free time, relax and socialize. Dogs also have the luxury of getting to enjoy the plazas and run around and play with each other too. What makes these two historic parks so special is that they are preserved and taken care of by local community. Come relax and check them out for yourself!

Located on the corner of Harrison Avenue and Randolph Street, Capri instantly became a South End staple and neighborhood favorite due to their incredible ambiance and patio space that is all over everyone’s Instagram stories during the Spring and Summer months. The honey buns themselves are absolutely mouthwatering! Pair those with any of their pastas, end with the limoncello tiramisu and you’ve got yourself an incredible meal!

Although Pride Month was last month, Pride itself is year round for many people, myself included. This may just be a crosswalk to some, but to others its a symbol of acceptance and way to feel seen. Boston is one of the most LGBTQIA+ friendly cities in the country and is so welcoming to and accepting of the q***r community. Our pride celebration brings people together from all over and creates an environment for anyone and everyone to feel free to be themselves and love who they want to love without fear of criticism or hate. You can find this crosswalk on the corner of Tremont Street and Clarendon Street. Love is love!

Located on the corner of Tremont Street and Milford Street, Barcelona is a fantastic spot in the South End where locals gather and professionals flock to at the end of the work day to indulge on some small bites influenced by Spanish, South American and Mediterranean cuisine. Additionally, you get to also peruse their expertly curated selections of over 400 wines. My personal favorites include the Albondigas, Boquerones, Roasted Carrots and the Spiced Beef Empanada.
