My mom Carol started cleaning houses to send me to private high school. That entrepreneurial spirit never left her.

She went on to get licensed as an in-home caregiver, becoming an angel to elderly clients throughout our community. Then at 66, she decided to get her real estate license. When the opportunity arose, I dissolved my growing real estate group so we could become partners.

This past month, I’ve watched this 73-year-old powerhouse close two listings in Melrose, with a third hitting the market next week. I couldn’t be more proud to call her both my business partner and my mom.

I didn’t grow up wealthy, and my parents grew up with even less. But I’ve lived an incredibly rich life learning from their tenacity and work ethic. Having role models like this has shaped everything about how I approach business and life.
