2025 tested me in ways I never imagined.
There were moments of uncertainty, pressure, sleepless nights, hard decisions, setbacks, and sacrifices that most people will never see behind the scenes. Closing down Lowkey Dorchester was one of the toughest business decisions I’ve ever had to make. The original vision was never to have one store — it was to build two thriving locations serving our communities.
But sometimes in business, you have to pivot, regroup, and make uncomfortable decisions for long-term success.
What felt like a setback at the time became a blessing in disguise.
Opening Lowkey Dispensary in West Roxbury has brought new energy, new relationships, new opportunities, and a community that has welcomed us with open arms. The support from the West Roxbury community has truly meant everything to me, my family, and my team.
This journey reminded me that business is not just about growth — it’s about sustainability, value, and profitability. Anybody can open something. The real challenge is building something that lasts, something valuable, something that can scale, something that one day could be sold, expanded, or passed down.
That’s the focus now.
We had to make drastic changes to get back into position. We had to become leaner, smarter, more disciplined, and more intentional with every move we make. And honestly, I’m proud of how far we’ve come heading into 2026.
There’s still a lot of work ahead, but I’m grateful. Grateful for the lessons. Grateful for the losses that taught me resilience. Grateful for the wins. Grateful for every customer, supporter, partner, friend, and family member who believed in Lowkey even during the difficult moments.
This next chapter is different.
More focused.
More strategic.
More intentional.
We’re not just building a dispensary.
We’re building a legacy.
“Stay High, Live Lowkey.”
