🏡 REAL ESTATE “RULES” THAT AREN’T ACTUALLY RULES.
I hear these ALL the time! And while some real estate advice comes from good intentions, not all of it applies to today's market.
Here are 4 common real estate myths I wish more buyers and sellers would rethink. 👇
1️⃣ “You need 20% down to buy a home.”
Not necessarily! Many loan programs allow qualified buyers to purchase with as little as 3–3.5% down, and some even offer zero-down options. Don't assume homeownership is out of reach without exploring your financing options.
2️⃣ “Wait until interest rates drop.”
Lower rates can bring more buyers into the market, increasing competition. The best time to buy depends on your financial readiness, not just mortgage rates.
3️⃣ “Never buy the first house you see.”
Sometimes the first home checks every box! It's not about how many properties you tour. It's about finding the right fit, understanding its value, and doing your due diligence.
4️⃣ “Price high because you can always come down.”
Overpricing can cost sellers valuable early attention, leading to fewer showings and longer days on market. Strategic pricing from day one makes a difference.
✨ The bottom line?
Real estate isn't one-size-fits-all. The best decisions come from understanding your local market, your finances, and YOUR goals.
