Everyone talks about selling.
Not enough people talk about being remembered before the sale ever happens.
Lately Iāve been having so many strategy conversations with real estate professionals about growing their business. The second I bring up digital marketing ā social media, email marketing, branding, paid ads, content ā I hear the same thing:
āWho has time for that?ā
And honestly⦠I get it.
For 15 years, I built my business the old-school way.
All day sales calls. Networking events at night. Relationship building 24/7. Bulldozer energy. š
But hereās the question nobody wants to ask:
What are you doing for marketing NOW?
Because meeting one person at a time for coffee or lunch takes a LOT of time. And while relationships will always matter, modern marketing allows your reputation to enter the room before you do.
The difference was I knew I couldnāt rely on the same playbook forever.
While everyone else was comfortable with the systems that worked in 2008, I was spending nights and weekends learning branding, content, digital strategy, and figuring out how modern marketing actually fits into real estate and title.
Now people look from the outside and say:
āMust be nice. Itās easy for you now.ā
What they donāt see are the years spent building visibility before the payoff ever came.
And hereās the reality:
As interest rates start dropping over the next several months, a new wave of younger agents, lenders, investors, and entrepreneurs are going to enter the market.
How are they going to find you?
Because the professionals who win the next chapter of real estate wonāt just be the best at sales. Theyāll be the ones who understand attention, branding, visibility, and trust at scale.
Marketing isnāt separate from selling anymore.
Marketing IS selling.
The goal is no longer just getting in front of people.
The goal is making sure people already know who you are before you ever walk into the room. š„
